Hwashin Georgia Corporation awarded $1.2 million EDGE Grant

We are proud to announce that Hwashin Georgia Corporation has been awarded a $1.2 million Economic Development Growth and Expansion (EDGE) grant! This significant milestone was celebrated this week in partnership with the Georgia Department of Economic Development and the Department of Community Affairs.

As the first tenant at the new Industrial Park on Highway 257, Hwashin Georgia is making a massive impact in our community. They are investing $176 million into their facility and bringing 475 new jobs to Laurens County.

This grant specifically supported the purchase of 56 advanced robots for their manufacturing process. As a tier-one supplier to the Hyundai Motor Group Meta Plant, and a manufacturer for Kia, Ford, and Rivian, Hwashin is driving the future of the automotive industry right here in Dublin!

A special thank you to the Heart of Georgia Altamaha Regional Commission (HOGARC) for their partnership in securing this and other critical grants for our industrial park.
