You’ve heard that membership has its rewards? Well, it has nothing on location, location, location! Dublin-Laurens County, the Business Heart of Georgia, is centrally located in one of the largest and fastest growing states in the U.S., and our logistics advantages are second to none.  The proof is in the pudding, and the pudding consists of a short 100 mile proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, close proximity to Atlanta, GA-The Capitol of the South, and a world-class intermodal infrastructure network of port, rail, and highway assets.

Contact us today to learn why major U.S. Distribution Centers like Best Buy, Perry Ellis and Farmer’s Furniture selected Dublin, GA for their Southeast U.S. location.

  • Laurens County is the fourth largest county in Georgia based on land size. There are over 300,000 people in the workforce in a sixty mile commuting radius of Laurens County which acts as the primary hub for employment, healthcare, retail, and service for over fifteen counties.
  • The Macon-Warner Robins combined statistical area is the third largest in Georgia, with an estimated population of nearly 500,000, and it is within a 1-hour commute of central Dublin and a half-hour of western Laurens County.
  • Interstate 16 is one of the major east-west corridors running through Georgia and connects to Interstate 75 in Macon and Interstate 95 in Savannah. Other major arteries converging in Laurens County include U.S. Highways 441, 319, and 80.
  • The County is a regional hub for distribution centers because of location. Within one-day, a shipment received at nearby Savannah and Brunswick port facilities can be as far as Memphis, Tennessee; New Orleans, Louisiana; Miami, Florida; and Richmond, Virginia by open road or the Georgia Central Railway. Freight can be anywhere in the world in twenty four hours via Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL).
  • By air, there is more to consider than Savannah’s airport and Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (both less than a 2-hour drive). The “ultramodern” W. H. “Bud” Baron Airport is located in Laurens County and is fully capable of handling all varieties of corporate and private aircraft. A 6,500-foot paved and lit primary runway is equipped with an instrument approach system to handle commercial traffic.  The airport also has a state-of-the-art weather information system, an equal-sized taxiway, and a 5,000-foot crosswind runway. The 4,000 square foot terminal offers a fully equipped conference room.
  • The Dublin-Laurens County Development Authority understands the importance of mitigating risks and upfront costs when it comes to expanding or relocating companies.  In addition to location and logistics advantages, the community offers very aggressive incentives to qualifying companies.
